Moncur is seeking a creative design student for our Summer 2026 Internship Program

As a Design Intern at Moncur, you'll get hands-on experience in a creative agency environment, supporting our team in brand, web, and marketing development for B2B companies across various industries. This is a valuable opportunity to apply your design education in a professional setting while gaining insight into the day-to-day operations of a creative agency.

Our internship program is structured to provide meaningful learning experiences. You'll be able to shadow and work alongside our experienced designers, with the potential to contribute to real client projects. While we don't expect client-ready work immediately, you'll receive feedback from industry professionals that will help you grow your skills and build your portfolio.

Duration: Mid-June to Mid-August 2026 (approximately 10 weeks)
Hours: Up to 25 hours per week
Compensation: $18/hour
Location: Hybrid (Southfield, MI office and remote options available)

Responsibilities

• Shadow professional designers and creative directors, attending internal project meetings and creative reviews
• Assist in developing visual concepts for brands, websites, and marketing materials
• Create draft designs and mockups for various client deliverables under guidance
• Collaborate with other interns and team members across departments
• Participate in internal creative projects and agency initiatives
• Take initiative to learn agency processes and tools
• Develop and apply design skills in a professional environment
• Receive constructive feedback on your work from experienced creative professionals

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in (or recently completed) a design, graphic arts, or related program
• Basic proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Familiarity with design principles and creative processes
• A beginning portfolio showing creative potential and design thinking
• Self-motivated with a desire to learn and grow
• Strong communication skills and ability to receive constructive feedback
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Access to appropriate computer hardware/software (may be provided if needed)
