Digital Content Coordinator
The person in the Digital Content Coordinator role supports the Michigan Lottery’s marketing team. They run and maintain content for both the online platform and handheld device interface to deliver timely, accurate, and engaging digital experiences. This role delivers content updates related to new game launches, promotions, personalized banners, and other marketing initiatives. Working closely with marketing, creative, product, and technical teams, the Digital Content Coordinator ensures that all digital content aligns with brand standards, stays in sync with regulatory requirements, and enhances player engagement across digital channels.
What You'll Do
- Handle day-to-day content updates on the Michigan Lottery website and mobile app using a content management system (CMS), including new game launches, promotional campaigns, and seasonal content changes.
- Support creation, scheduling, and deployment of personalized content banners and dynamic modules in partnership with marketing automation and CRM teams.
- Upload, edit, and preserve content assets within the CMS, ensuring accuracy, brand compliance, and adherence to gaming regulations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to coordinate content production and ensure timely execution.
- Assist with quality assurance (QA) and testing of website and app content updates to ensure proper display, functionality, and responsiveness across devices and browsers.
- Monitor website and app content; identify issues or improvement opportunities and communicate them to relevant teams.
- Maintain and update internal documentation related to content management processes, templates, workflows, and regulatory compliance.
- Support accessibility, SEO guidelines, and responsible gaming messaging in all content updates.
- Coordinate with the marketing automation team to support personalized content strategies, including targeting rules and banner rotations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve content-related issues, working collaboratively with IT and development teams.
- Assist with content preparation for new digital features or marketing campaigns, including landing pages, FAQs, and promotional microsites.
- Stay informed on CMS platform updates, web content trends, digital marketing guidelines, and lottery/gaming industry regulations to recommend process improvements.
- Ensure all content changes adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal policies specific to lottery and gaming industries.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to align content updates with overall marketing campaigns, product launches, and player engagement strategies.
- Work efficiently within a fast-paced, compliance-heavy environment requiring frequent content updates and rapid turnaround times.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years running content in a CMS environment, preferably supporting marketing teams or in a regulated industry such as lottery, gaming, or gambling.
- Experience with Contentful CMS is a plus.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS and web content formatting.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience collaborating across multiple departments including marketing, building, IT/development, and product management.
- Ability to perform quality assurance testing and troubleshoot content display or functionality issues.
- Familiarity with digital marketing concepts, including promotions, personalization, SEO, and user experience guidelines.
- Knowledge of lottery or regulatory requirements in the gaming sector related to digital content is highly desirable.
- Understanding of responsible gaming principles and ability to ensure messaging compliance.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with accessibility standards and guidelines.

Pay Range
$59,764 - $110,991 per year
Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
