Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join a prototype machine shop located in Saginaw, Michigan. This position is for the 1st shift and involves working in a clean, temperature-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines and perform multiple setups per shift.
• Conduct first piece inspections and make necessary tool changes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and G&M codes.
• Use inspection tools such as calipers and micrometers for precision checks.

Essential Skills

• 5 years of experience in CNC Mill operations.
• Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machinery.
• Ability to perform own setups and inspections.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Programming in G&M Code.
• Experience with Mazak machinery.
• Working knowledge of 1018 carbon steel and aluminum.
• Familiarity with low volume work, multiple setups, and blueprint reading/GD&T.
• Experience in manufacturing fixtures and prototype low volume parts.

Work Environment

The work environment is a machine shop that is extremely clean, with air conditioning in the summer and heating in the winter. The position is for the 1st shift, running from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the option for overtime on Fridays. The facility maintains a high standard of cleanliness and offers a comfortable working atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saginaw, Michigan.

Pay rate= $25/hour

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $23.00/hr.
