Summary
The Prep Cook enhances the guest experience by consistently delivering convenient and enjoyable food options through efficient and effective food preparation to improve the overall movie entertainment experience. The position will be assisting our banquets/events team and averaging 25 hours per week.
- Assist with kitchen prep work such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, cutting meat, or portioning ingredients.
- Prepare and present food items such as salads, breads, salad dressings and sauces.
- Monitor and maintain food and beverage quality to ensure guests are served products that enhance the Emagine entertainment experience.
- Maintain and organize kitchen environment and equipment to ensure employees are able to perform all required job duties in a clean and safe environment.
- Rotate stock by dating all food and beverage items to ensure products stored are effectively monitored and utilized for guest consumption.
- Perform daily closing duties which include sweeping, mopping, stocking, and washing dishes to ensure the Emagine kitchen is clean and prepared for the next entertainment shift experience.
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
- Sanitize and place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Food and beverage quality consistently meets guest expectations. Items are readily available for consumption and meet established guidelines.
- Kitchen area is consistently clean and safe. Food items are stocked, dated and rotated appropriately.
- Good working relationships and coordination exist with other team members and management.
- Customer Service goals are consistently met and promotions are supported.
