Shift Manager
Joe Louis Southern Kitchen is seeking an experienced, energetic Shift Manager to help lead daily restaurant operations while delivering outstanding guest experiences. As a key member of our leadership team, you’ll oversee front-of-house operations, support the kitchen, coach team members, and ensure every shift reflects the hospitality and operational excellence our brand is known for.
- Lead restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and food quality.
- Supervise, coach, and motivate front-of-house team members.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and assign daily responsibilities.
- Monitor labor, ticket times, and overall shift performance.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
- Approve discounts, comps, and voids according to company policy.
- Perform opening and closing manager duties, including cash handling and daily reports.
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and company operating standards.
- Communicate operational issues and opportunities to the General Manager.
- Assist with employee training and development.
- Minimum 2 years of restaurant leadership experience in a full-service restaurant.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent guest service and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
