Essential Job Functions

  • Coordinate and implement State law and Board policy in the registration of new students/families to the district;
  • Coordinate re-registration and test samples of currently enrolled families;
  • Coordinate with administration and communicate with outside investigation companies for residency verification cases;
  • Coordinate and comply with federal homeless regulations;
  • Work closely with city officials within the district;
  • Manage residency case files as well as records for number of investigations and removals;
  • Follow-up on residency tips;
  • Follow-up on expired leases, rental agreements and landlord affidavits;
  • Follow-up with Administrators regarding residency inquiries
  • Conduct residency interviews;
  • Ability to be thorough and concise in verbal and written communication and when conducting case analysis;
  • Recommend cases for investigation;
  • Review city records and data bases to confirm residency;
  • Provide residency and other reports as required;
  • Participate in residency appeals and testify as needed at hearings;
  • Assist in responding to residency-related FOIA requests;
  • Work with district legal counsel as directed;
  • Other duties as assigned by the Deputy Superintendent

Qualifications/Experience
  • An Associate’s degree or higher preferred
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Previous experience in K-12 education preferred
  • Knowledge/familiar with MiStar - Report Writer
  • Knowledge/familiar with McKinney – Vento Act

Working Conditions
  • Full time, 12 month position; According to Office Personnel Salary Schedule: F1 ($18.94) - F7 ($25.17)
  • Reports to Deputy Superintendent of Educational Services
