Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Paint Technician on the 2nd shift, where you will contribute to the manufacturing of high-pressure water jets. We seek individuals with expertise in metal abrasive treatments and industrial painting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize yourself with metal abrasive treatments like media blasting and chemical etching.
• Mix paints to precise specifications and apply Automotive/Industrial Urethane Coatings.
• Maintain punctuality and flexibility for scheduled work shifts, including weekends and overtime.
• Collaborate effectively with the team to achieve group tasks and goals.
• Perform pre-painting activities, including 'Power-Wash' on parts.
• Apply a variety of industrial coatings to fabricated metal products.
• Utilize instrumentation to ensure painting parameters meet OEM specifications.
• Apply industrial coatings in confined spaces and rig large objects for coating application.
• Suggest tools and equipment improvements for operational efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA and HazMat procedures.
• Report equipment malfunctions or processing issues to the supervisor.

Essential Skills

• Industrial or auto body paint experience (3+ years)
• Proficiency in using spray guns
• Ability to apply a variety of industrial coatings to metal products
• Expertise in mixing and spraying Automotive/Industrial Urethane Coatings, water, and solvent-based systems

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Industrial or Automotive
• Experience with sanding, plastic, industrial painting, and paint shop environments
• Ability to adapt to company policies and training processes
• Flexible work schedule

Work Environment

Work in a very clean and climate-controlled facility, established in 2021, with diverse departments and areas. The position is on the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm, with a 10% shift premium and potential for overtime. Training is conducted on the 1st shift starting at 6am, with a typical workweek of 40-50 hours from Monday to Friday, and occasional Saturdays based on production needs.

This is a Permanent position based out of Wixom, MI.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $45760.00/yr.
