Inventory Manager
Job Summary:
The Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management within the organization, including inventory control, stock replenishment, and inventory optimization. This role involves developing and implementing inventory policies and procedures to ensure accurate inventory counts, minimize stockouts and excess inventory, and maximize inventory turnover.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Inventory Control:- Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate inventory counts and minimize discrepancies.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify stock levels and identify any discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Stock Replenishment:
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to determine optimal stock levels and reorder points.
- Coordinate with purchasing teams to place orders with suppliers and replenish stock as needed.
- Optimize inventory replenishment processes to minimize lead times and ensure timely availability of stock.
Inventory Optimization:
- Analyze inventory data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
- Implement inventory optimization strategies, such as ABC analysis, to prioritize inventory management efforts.
- Develop and maintain inventory performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline inventory management processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement best practices and automation tools to optimize inventory workflows and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, train, and supervise inventory control staff, and cycle counters.
- Provide coaching and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among team members.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in inventory management or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or packaging environment.
- 2-4 years of experience.
- Experience with Epicor ERP system is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
