SUSHI CHEF
You will be responsible for setting up the sushi bar with proper tools and products, and preparing your station for service. As a Sushi Chef, you will be tasked with creating a wide variety of sushi dishes, including maki, nigiri, sashimi, and specialty rolls. Precision and artistry are key, as each piece should reflect the highest standards of taste, presentation, and freshness. You will work adheres all recipe and time standards for each ticket at all times. We seek individuals who thrive on quality, consistency, and execution, as well as maintaining a clean and efficient workspace to uphold our high culinary standards. Sushi Chefs at Townhouse-Detroit excel in a fast-paced environment, bringing creativity and skill to each plate while ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of sushi and sashimi, including rolls, nigiri, and other Japanese dishes according to restaurant's standardized recipes.
- Safely and effectively use and operate all necessary tools and equipment, including knives and sushi-making equipment.
- Follow all prescribed portioning controls and par levels.
- Maintain food safety and quality standards.
- Ability to read a thermometer correctly and efficiently.
- Communicate any food delays or issues to your Culinary Manager.
- Maintain menu item counts and communicate to Management and service staff when quantities fall below restaurant-specific minimum quantity.
- Accurately account for all items coming out of the station.
- Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions.
- Comply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.
- Get along well with others and be a team player.
- Other duties will be assigned as needed.

Compensation Details
- Compensation: Hourly ($18.00 - $24.00 based on experience)
