Pay: $18/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Employment Type: W2 Temp-to-Hire (high potential for permanent conversion)

Job Overview

This role supports the preparation and fulfillment of prescription medications within a large-scale specialty and mail-order pharmacy environment. The Pharmacy Technician will assist with processing prescriptions, entering patient and prescription information into the system, resolving insurance or billing issues, and communicating with patients and physicians when needed. This position also works closely with pharmacists to help address prescription-related questions and ensure medications are processed accurately and efficiently in a high-volume fulfillment setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process prescription medications using the fulfillment system
• Handle prescription exceptions, including claim rejects and outreach to members or physicians
• Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system
• Research and resolve insurance billing issues and escalated member concerns
• Escalate prescription-related questions to the pharmacist when needed
• Assist with inbound and outbound calls with patients and physician offices
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Current MI Pharmacy Technician License/Temp License required
• Previous Pharmacy Technician or other related experience preferred, but not required
• Basic computer skills required
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
