Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture that promotes academic and social-emotional growth.
  
• Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments and provide meaningful feedback.
  
• Differentiate instruction to support students with varying learning styles and abilities.
  
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic goals.
  
• Collaborate with administrators and fellow educators to enhance curriculum and instructional practices.
  
• Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and grading documentation.
  
• Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
  
• Uphold school policies and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
  
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a Integrated Science (DI) 6-12 Endorsement
  
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, engaging, learning environment.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  
• Experience integrating educational technology into daily instruction (Google Classroom, SMART Boards, educational apps, etc.)
  
• Strong organizational skills
  
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and student success.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, school calendar year
