Salary Range: $81,000 - $126,000 depending on experience

We are partnering with organizations in Kentwood that are seeking Controls Engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI/SCADA systems for manufacturing equipment.
- Develop and implement automation solutions to improve production efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Provide expert technical support for electrical, control, and instrumentation issues on the production floor.
- Manage and execute control system upgrade projects, including hardware and software integration.
- Create and maintain comprehensive control system documentation, electrical schematics, and P&IDs.
- Participate in the commissioning and startup of new machinery and production lines.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for existing control systems and processes.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens) for industrial automation.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA system design, development, and integration.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP).
- Ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical schematics and P&IDs.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose complex control system issues in a manufacturing environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with industrial robotics (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA, ABB) programming and integration.
- Proficiency in advanced SCADA/MES systems (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware) and database integration (SQL).
- Familiarity with industrial vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) for inspection and guidance.
- Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles and best practices.
