Position Overview: The Senior Medical Assistant / Assistant Manager will play a key role in the smooth operation of our medical practice. This dual-role position combines clinical responsibilities with managerial duties to ensure that both patient care and practice operations are running efficiently. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a medical assistant, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage both patient-facing and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of office policies and procedures to improve workflow and patient satisfaction.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of medical supplies, ordering necessary items to prevent shortages and ensure cost-efficiency.
  • Act as a liaison between clinical staff, physicians, and administrative teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assist with billing, coding, and insurance verification tasks as needed.
  • Address patient concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner, escalating issues to the practice manager or physician as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.) and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or certification in Medical Assisting (CMA, RMA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a medical assistant, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and patient care protocols.

  • Proficient with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
  • BLS/CPR certification required; additional certifications such as Phlebotomy, X-ray, or ECG preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
