Wright's Renovations is a residential renovation company based in Ypsilanti, MI. We've been in business since 2021 and have grown to six crews doing full-scope remodels across Southeast Michigan — kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, you name it. Every crew member is a W2 employee on payroll with full benefits, not a 1099 contractor. We invest in the people who work here because we plan to be around for a long time, and we want them to be too.

We're hiring a seasoned installer who's ready to step into a leadership role. This is not an entry-level position. We need someone who already knows how to remodel a house and does it well. If you're the person your current crew looks to when something needs to be figured out, keep reading.

This role has a clear path to Foreman. We promote based on demonstrated skill, not tenure. A portfolio is required: Submit 5–20 photos of jobs you've completed by sending an email to [email protected] along with your resume and cover letter. Applications without a portfolio won't be reviewed. Phone photos are fine — we're looking at the work, not the photography.

Your foreman has support from a project manager, a superintendent, and an office team that handles logistics so the field can focus on the work. What You'll Do:

On-Site and Support Construction Duties:

• Perform residential renovation work — demo, framing, tile, trim, cabinetry, flooring, carpet, siding, and more
• Work independently or alongside an apprentice
• Follow project scopes and quality standards set by the Foreman
• Begin taking on lead responsibilities as you prove out — managing workflow on-site, coordinating with the project manager, thinking a step ahead
• Maintain your own tools and transport yourself to job sites daily
• Help with job tracking, material requests, and scheduling as needed

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on residential remodeling experience across multiple trades
• Tile and/or carpet installation skills are a strong plus — if you can do either well, say so in your application
• Someone who already thinks like a lead — you notice what's next, not just what's in front of you
• Work you're proud of, and photos to back it up
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Driver's license, reliable transportation, and your own tools
• Solid communication, reliability, and professionalism

Pay & Benefits:

• Pay range: $24 – $28.50/hr depending on experience and skill level

Schedule & Location

• Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (occasional weekends/overtime)
• Field-based, in-person work across Southeast Michigan
• Must be able to commute daily to Ypsilanti, MI 48197 or relocate before starting
