Supplier Relationship Manager

The Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) position is responsible for procurement-related activities that provide a continuous flow of materials in the optimum quantity and time frame required. The individual will utilize approved suppliers in consideration of standards for quality, reliability, and urgency of need.
This position follows a hybrid work schedule, with three days working onsite and two days working remotely each week.
Scope of the Role
- Responsible for placement and system entry of purchase orders in accordance with MRP
- Proactively monitor and resolve potential material shortages and track, expedite, and micro-manage critical orders
- Maintain purchasing databases to ensure integrity of inputs such as lead times, MOQ, and safety stock.
- Manage inventory levels of assigned commodities to maintain a balance of material availability while optimizing days on hand
- Foster an environment that promotes Oral Care’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation
- Use purchasing tools to analyze, evaluate supplier performance KPI’s & work with suppliers for improvements as necessary
- Supporting cross functional collaboration between related departments at Perrigo for new item launches, conversions, and R&D activities
- Primary liaison between Perrigo and our suppliers for projects, inventory, and quality concerns
- Work with suppliers on rejected material and claims resulting from purchase order changes or termination
- Support effective implementation of all GMP requirements and understand how it affects materials and processes
Experience Required
- 3 - 5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement/material planning or equivalent role required
- CPIM/ CPM/APICS certification
- Lean Six Sigma Knowledge
- SAP/ERP system experience required
- Bachelor's degree required - Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Ability to work independently, good time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
