Mobile Engineer – HVAC/R (Field-Based) | Escanaba, MI ⇄ Marquette, MI Corridor

This is a true mobile field role—covering facilities across the Upper Peninsula, primarily floating between Escanaba and Marquette, MI . You’ll be the hands-on engineer keeping critical building systems running across HVAC/R, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide range of facility systems with a strong focus on HVAC and refrigeration performance. Your goal is simple: keep equipment running efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime.

Day-to-day work includes:

• Performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, and building systems

• Troubleshooting and repairing commercial refrigeration and production equipment

• Inspecting facility interiors and exteriors including walls, flooring, fixtures, lighting, and roofing systems

• Responding to work orders and resolving issues across multiple sites

• Maintaining HVAC/R systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency

• Documenting findings, repairs, and system conditions during inspections

• Using CMMS systems (Corrigo or similar) to track and update work orders in real time

• Supporting emergency and call-in work as needed

What You Bring

• 4+ years of hands-on building engineering experience

• Strong HVAC/R and refrigeration troubleshooting background (commercial required)

• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

• Ability to work across multiple sites independently and efficiently

• Universal CFC certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)

• Experience with CMMS/work order systems preferred

• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, mobile systems)

• Technical schooling or apprenticeship in HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical systems preferred

• Valid driver’s license required

This is a field-driven role for someone who knows how to keep complex systems online and doesn’t mind covering ground to get it done.
