LEGAL ASSISTANT
THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you an experienced, highly skilled Legal Assistant with a passion for personal injury law? We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our esteemed legal team. Your expertise in trial preparation, docket/case management, and client relations will play a pivotal role in the continued success of the firm.
You’ll be the backbone of a busy litigation team, managing the day-to-day deliverables and ensuring deadlines are met. Ensuring the timely progression of cases through completion and maximizing the efficiency of the litigation team, your responsibilities will include:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage case calendar and complex dockets, ensuring deadlines are met with precision
- Schedule client and witness depositions
- Prepare and file documents with the courts, draft various discovery motions
- Organize and maintain case files, documents, and records
- Assist attorneys during trial preparation, managing and preparing exhibits, jury documents, and evidence to facilitate smooth proceedings
- Provide compassionate, timely, and clear communication to clients, addressing their concerns and inquiries promptly
- Work independently in multiple software programs to document and report case activity and milestones
- A myriad of additional duties to ensure the efficient and timely progression of the team’s caseload
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns and extract relevant and sensitive information in a professional and caring manner
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong work ethic and self-starter, ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced (but fun) environment
- Litigation experience a plus
- Case management software experience a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

EDUCATION
- Bachelor or Associate Degree preferred
- 3 years of more of related experience required. Personal injury experience preferred.

- In-office
WORK SCHEDULE
- Full time, Monday-Friday, some out-of-hours may be required
