Detail Technician Drawings
Drafter
We are seeking an outgoing, detail-oriented individual to produce detailed drawings of rebar projects in our Iron Mountain office. This is a full-time position.
Duties:
Participate in bid assessment process
Perform takeoffs from construction plans and specifications
Communicate with project specifiers regarding material requirements and substitutions
Coordinate with customers’ submittal schedule requirements
Prepare rebar detail drawings based on structural, architectural, and civil plans
Interface with estimating and production departments as necessary
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
1-2 years of experience in technical or building trades preferred, but will train the right candidate
Proficient in all MS Office, specifically MS Excel
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (welding, metal cutting/forming, assembly)
Ability to read schematic diagrams is preferred. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Familiarity with computer-aided design is a plus
Knowledge of, and/or ability to learn, software such as Quickbooks, Planswift, Allplan and Soule is a plus
