Crating and Packaging Specialist
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Crating and Packaging Specialist to join our team in Walker, MI, 49544. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our products are securely and efficiently packaged for shipment. Responsibilities
- Prepare products for shipment by selecting appropriate crating and packaging materials.
- Assemble crates and packages according to specifications and safety standards.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and packaging standards.
- Label packages accurately and maintain shipping documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize packaging processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety regulations.
- Assist in inventory management of packaging materials and supplies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Previous experience in packaging, crating, or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and inventory management.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
