Reclamation Worker

: West Side Beer Distributing is looking to hire a part time Reclamation employee who is available to work Tuesday thru Friday from 12:00pm - 5:00pm. Pay: $18.00 per hour POSITION SUMMARY Prepare and sort materials or products for recycling. Responsible for transferring cardboard boxes and empty bottles to be recycled. Duties include stripping product and empties from route trucks. Additional duties consist of utilizing a manual pallet jack to move pallets for processing; responsible for ensuring the work area is clean from all debris on a daily basis. Responsible for adhering to company policies, OSHA standards and supplier agreements. • Sort empty glass and cardboard for recycling.
• Preparing materials for recycling.
• Responsible for conducting can bag audits to ensure accurate can quantities in bags.
• Operate balers to compress recyclable materials into bundles or bales.
• Report all accidents to management and fill out an accident/incident report immediately.
• Responsible for crushing can bags and cleaning up the work area.
• Follow directive from supervisors.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Operate pallet jacks to relocate recycling materials for processing.
• Clean recycling work area by sweeping, mopping, picking up broken glass and loose paper debris.
• Safely operate forklift trucks and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
• Complete pre-trip inspection of forklift and turn in daily.
• Unload product, empty kegs, empty glass and pallets from route delivery vehicles
