SOX Analyst

Job Description

Insight Global is hiring two SOX Analysts for an automotive client in Novi, MI. This role supports a newly expanded responsibility within the group and focuses on internal controls and compliance across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Testing approximately 25 internal controls across multiple locations

• Requesting documentation and system entries from business users

• Reviewing and auditing submitted information for accuracy and compliance

• Validating that control backups and supporting documentation are logical and complete

• Following up on discrepancies and incomplete documentation

• Auditing items for manager approvals as required

• Using the company's internal auditing system to perform and document control testing

• Ensuring controls align with SOX and internal compliance standards

Environment / Team:

• Corporate automotive accounting / compliance environment

• Highly process-driven and detail-oriented

• Works closely with internal stakeholders and management for approvals and documentation

Compensation:

$85,000/yr to $100,000/yr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements

• 3-5 years of accounting experience

? General ledger or mixed accounting background

? Not strictly A/R or A/P (must be well-rounded)

• Strong Excel skills

? Comfortable with basic functions (filters, formulas, data review)

• Experience working in a professional, process-driven environment

• Ability to follow controls, documentation, and approval workflows

• Stable work history - Audit experience

• SOX or internal controls exposure

• SAP experience

• Automotive industry accounting background
