We are looking for a Customer Site Service Representative I to join our Coatings team at our Ford customer plant in Princeton, IN .

BASF's Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings. This position supports daily operation of BASF products by providing on-site technical and application knowledge while developing strong, supportive customer relationships.

The incumbent will demonstrate technical and professional expertise to enhance BASF's reputation with the customer. S/he will integrate within the business and technical community to bring value, product and process improvements to our valued customers. In addition, the role controls key performance indicators within product service critical to customer performance expectations.

You create chemistry by:

• Develop customer relationships while providing quality product support.

• Providing on-site technical and application expertise of product performance including color management, defect identification, and corrective action if necessary.

• Assuring product performance meets or exceeds customer expectations and supports business objectives to be our customer's supplier of choice.

• Responding to customer requirements, enforcing product quality/performance specification, and supporting new product/application development.

• Supports the efforts of a BASF sales/technical team to assure value to the customer for product technical support, problem investigation, analysis, and resolution.

• Managing existing relationships and developing new ones.

If you...

• High School Diploma (or GED) required. Bachelor's preferred.

• Have ingrained safety mindset, excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Have a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

• Self motivated, able to see areas of improvement and tackle new tasks on your own.

• Must be comfortable lifting and moving drums on a regular basis.

• Have knowledge in following written procedures, work instructions and JSAs. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office.
