Helpdesk Support Specialist

Description

Service Desk Associates provide technical assistance to end-users using systems and tools supported by the Service Desk. This support is provided via telephone and email. Associates answer a variety of technical questions, perform basic troubleshooting, follow documented support processes, adhere to strict security and user identification protocol, reset passwords, assist with remote access and multi-factor authentication difficulties, and use documented escalation procedures for unresolved issues. This position requires a full day of sitting, speaking, and typing, and could include working any shift within a 24-hour day, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shift will be determined by organizational needs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Provide helpful, friendly support to the people who contact the Service Desk for support

• Communicate clearly to ensure full understanding of the issue

• Troubleshoot technical issues with logical refining questions

• Skillfully search the knowledgebase to locate, read, and follow appropriate articles

• Ensure all security protocols are followed accurately for each encounter

• Collaborate with colleagues on and off the Service Desk

• Talk and listen while accurately typing notes and reading support information

• Create well-documented incidents in ServiceNow.

• Performs semi-complex work within area of specialization.

• Effectively identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve or escalate them appropriately.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Detroit, MI.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
