CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Technical Writer I.

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Saginaw or Hemlock, MI
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Education: Associate degree preferred
Description
CTG is seeking a motivated Technical Writer I to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, editing, and maintaining clear and concise documentation that supports manufacturing processes, procedures, and standards. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly documentation.
Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Technical Writer in a manufacturing environment

Ability to quickly adapt and begin writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Strong technical writing, editing, and formatting skills
-
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and documentation tools

Excellent communication and organizational skills
-
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
-
Develop, write, edit, and format technical documentation including process manuals, system specifications, guideline documents, and procedure manuals

Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to gather and interpret documentation needs

Standardize content across platforms and media to ensure clarity and consistency

Review, revise, and update existing documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards

Translate complex technical terminology into user-friendly language

Conduct periodic reviews of documents to ensure all process updates and changes are accurately reflected
Required Qualifications
Education:
-
Associate degree preferred in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field OR current enrollment in one of these programs at an accredited college/university
Qualifications:

2 years of experience as a Technical Writer for a manufacturing company

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
