Job Title: Phlebotomist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in West Bloomfield. This role involves drawing and processing blood samples, as well as coordinating with clinic staff and managing the logistics of sample shipping.

Responsibilities

• Draw patient blood samples, process them, and package them correctly, approximately 25-45 times per day.

• Communicate daily with clinic staff to organize and schedule blood draws.

• Schedule the pick-ups and shipping of samples to the medical testing site.

• Commit fully to a work schedule from Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in blood drawing, phlebotomy, and venipuncture.

• Experience in specimen collection and processing.

• At least 1.5 years of experience as a Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant.

• Ability to perform 200 plus solo draws.

• Knowledge of the order of draw and BD Vacutainer tube colors for multiple tube collections.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant certification or certificate.

• High School Diploma.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of working with a small team. The role offers hands-on phlebotomy experience in outpatient settings, with opportunities for both stationary and float positions. Raises are available at six months. The work schedule is strictly Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5 pm

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
