Job Opportunity: PART TIME - Bachelor Level Social Worker/Case Manager – Adult Services Team

Newaygo County Mental Health is seeking a PART TIME - Bachelor Level Social Worker/ Case Manager to join our Adult Services Team. This role will focus on providing case management to adults with severe mental illness and/or developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties, including behavioral assessments, treatment planning, case coordination, advocacy, medical consultation, transportation arrangements (when appropriate), and other tasks needed to provide comprehensive support coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Coordinate services and monitor client progress, providing advocacy as needed.
- Arrange transportation and medical consultation when appropriate.
- Provide ongoing support and assistance in accessing community resources.
- Ensure that services align with person-centered planning and meet individual needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (LLBSW or LBSW) is preferred; will consider Human Services Degree
- State licensure (LLBSW or LBSW) and a valid Michigan driver’s license .
- Strong belief in the value of person-centered planning and experience in delivering community-based services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills and the ability to manage case documentation.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle frequent interruptions.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Rate of Pay Range : $25.24 - $32.11 based on licensure and experience.

Newaygo County Mental Health (Newaygo CMH) is a comprehensive service provider for Mental Health services in Newaygo County. Newaygo CMH is located in White Cloud, Michigan “Where the North Begins and the Pure Waters Flow”. We are just a 50 minute drive North of Grand Rapids or Muskegon. We are also a 30 minute drive from Big Rapids and just over 1 hour drive from Ludington.

Our clients include both adults and children who are intellectually and developmentally impaired, children with severe emotional impairments, as well as adults with mental illness (who may also have a substance abuse issues) in a managed care environment. Improving the wellness and recovery of those identified citizens, who are considered most in need, will continue to be our primary focus. Prevention, wellness, and recovery programs are our core components in the provision of person/family-centered integrated services.
We recognize that our clinicians need support and training in evidence-based practices to be successful and feel confident in their role. Newaygo CMH provides paid training for clinicians to obtain certification in EBPs such as EMDR, DBT, TF-CBT, and CAADC. Along with paid training, we offer on-site licensure supervision, as well as intense clinical supervision with experienced supervisors, are who are extremely competent, compassionate, and have extensive knowledge working with the client population as well as in the CMH system.

Additional Benefits:
Health insurance : After 90 days of Employment with at least 350 hours worked, 90% of the single health care coverage (Priority Health Point of Service Plan) will be provided. After fie years of employment with an average of at least 1200 hours per year, the agency will provide up to 90% of the single rate, and an additional 75% of the couple rate for an employee and their spouse. Once an employee is eligible, they may purchase the difference between the couple/family coverage.
Longevity: Longevity will be calculated starting after 4 years of service at $100 per year. E.g. at 4 years = $400. This will max out at 15 plus years of service (at $1,500).
Deferred Compensation : Pre-taxed contributions by the employee (no agency match) placed into a tax deferred annuity. Several different companies to choose from.
Annual Leave/ESTA: Accrue one (1) hour of annual leave time for every 30 hours worked. Employees who average 25 hours per week at the end of their first year, the accrual will increase according to policy.
Holidays: The Agency has 12 paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. Part time staff receive pro-rated compensation for these days based on average hours worked.
Wellness Plan: The agency will reimburse 2/3rds of cost, with a limit up to $200, to the employee for joining a health club or fitness center.
Agency Vehicles : Newaygo CMH has a fleet of agency vehicles available for usage. If a vehicle is unavailable, staff are reimbursed for the mileage at the IRS rate.
