Job Summary
We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Radiologic Technologist. You will be responsible for preparing and safely positioning patients to capture accurate diagnostic images. Your tasks will include performing routine imaging procedures, assisting radiologists during examinations, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. Additionally, you may support administrative functions such as organizing work schedules and maintaining accurate patient records. This position is ideal for someone with foundational experience who is eager to grow their skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Description
- Identify patients and accurately document all information in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures as requested by the clinician, ensuring proper positioning and patient comfort.
- Apply appropriate protective measures to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and the public from exposure and infection.
- Perform diagnostic x-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders and department protocols.
- Assist radiologists during radiographic procedures when needed.
- Conduct daily basic checks on imaging equipment and report any irregularities to senior staff.
- Follow established protocols for reporting any patient incidents or unusual occurrences
- Maintain all mandated radiation safety practices in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment in all imaging areas.
- Participate in ongoing training, education, and professional development activities.
- Accession and verify exams in RIS and ensure that all images are correctly transferred to PACS.
- Maintain a professional demeanor with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations by maintaining strict patient confidentiality and data privacy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental operations and during emergency situations.
Skills Required
- 1-year General Radiographer experience.
Education/Training/Certifications
- A valid license as a radiologic technologist issued by NYSDOH required.
- BLS preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Malpractice Insurance - All Credentialed Providers are required to have active individual Medical Malpractice.
- Shift Time: 12:00 AM-8:00 AM
Pay Rate
- $61.00 per hour
