Global Dealer Diversity Strategy Manager Location Dearborn, MI :

The Global Dealer Diversity Strategy Manager will be responsible for orchestrating the global dealer diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and action plan for Ford. In this role, you will apply the framework of the Ford Operating System (Ford OS) to support Dealer Diversity efforts.

This includes setting and implementing the overall dealer diversity strategy by building global programs and initiatives with local relevance to drive an inclusive environment within our dealerships, prioritizing new opportunities for future dealer DEI priorities and collaborating with the Ford Minority Dealers Association in order to identify opportunities and best practices to implement with underrepresented dealer personnel/operators across the globe. This role will interact closely with a variety of internal and external partners, including external vendors, Business Unit leaders, the Diversity Equity Inclusion office, Dealer Council, Global Dealer Roundtable, Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience and leadership, to name a few.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of Dealer facing operations and/or retail experience (i.e., Field Ops, Sales and Service, Market Representation, CX, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in working with retailers to implement company initiatives leveraging critical strategic thinking skills to develop an executable strategic vision around diversity
  • Automotive retail business acumen and intimate working knowledge of dealership operations, business practices, and operating structure strongly preferred
  • Understanding and applying the synergy between process and people at retail to create BIC retailer experience for both retail employees and their customers
  • Strong people skills to build a network of company employee advocates from current Dealer-facing organizations (e.g., Sales, Field Ops, Market Representation, FCSD, Model e, etc.)
  • Demonstrated examples of Dealer advocacy and empathy
  • Must care deeply and passionately about the company and its culture, learning and development, DEI, the customer experience and its products
  • Experience in influencing key partners to collaborate on shared objectives
  • Promotes an inclusive environment and embodies our FordOS behaviors
  • Project management experience, including multiple, complex projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work independently, under time and workload constraints and prioritize effectively
  • Travel will include domestic and international as needed.

What you'll do...
  • Gather insights, benchmark and develop overall dealer diversity goals and metrics to create a more inclusive culture within our global dealer body incorporating a continuous improvement mindset
  • Gather insights, benchmark and develop training and mentoring program strategy for ethnically diverse and women operators in order to improve representation and retention
  • Gather insights, benchmark and develop path to ownership strategy for ethnically diverse and women dealer candidates with an emphasis on ethnically diverse women
  • Support implementing diversity business objectives throughout the global dealer body
  • Research, identify and prioritize new opportunities for future dealer DEI priorities
  • Drive synergies and efficiencies across the Dealer Engagement organization
  • Provide regular updates and communicate over different time zones to local and global management on progress, challenges, and real-time feedback from stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with key Ford stakeholders, including the core business groups of Ford Blue, Ford Pro, Model e, FCSD and Ford Credit, as well as Global Markets/Regions.
  • Invest in truly understanding and communicating best practices and unique regional requirements to stakeholders.
  • Support miscellaneous team assignments as needed.
