Wire Operations Specialist

The Wire Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of wire transfers while maintaining compliance with banking regulations and internal policies. This role involves a broad range of administrative and operational support duties related to wire transfer activities.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Wire Processing and Administration
- Process and verify wire transfers to ensure accuracy and compliance with banking regulations.
- Monitor and record all wire transfer activities, ensuring appropriate entries are logged.
- Support Fed activity, including sending, receiving, and validating wire transactions.
- Assist in daily administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
Compliance and Professional Standards
- Meet established standards and guidelines regarding compliance, job knowledge, quality, attendance, efficiency, initiative, customer service, and overall performance.
- Maintain confidentiality and data integrity while adhering to compliance standards in risk reporting and analysis.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of compliance rules and regulations, including internal policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in finance or business is a plus.
- Previous banking, administrative, or wire operations experience preferred.
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and banking software.
- Ability to work with financial data accurately and maintain organized records.
Soft Skills & Work Ethic:
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team, demonstrating reliability and accountability.
- Problem-solving mindset, with a proactive approach to handling operational challenges.
