Shop Mechanic

Priority Landscape & Maintenance, a rapidly growing and quality-driven landscape and maintenance company located in Lowell, Michigan, is seeking a Shop Mechanic to join our team. We are looking for a resourceful, punctual, dedicated, detail-oriented, and energetic self-starter who is excited to be part of an innovative company expanding throughout the Midwest region. This role offers part-time hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing repair and maintenance of commercial mowers, power equipment, vehicles, trailers, trucks, and commercial snow removal equipment
• Utilize mechanical skills, including knowledge of basic electrical systems, hydraulic systems, mower technology, and gasoline engines to consistently keep equipment in top operating capacity
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain company vehicles and equipment as needed
• Prioritize projects and repairs to ensure operations are not disrupted
• Maintain accurate maintenance and DOT records for vehicles, trailers, and equipment
• Conduct & maintain records of DOT annual inspections, as required by FMCSA regulations
• Maintain inventory of shop tools and parts
• Maintain and update accurate data
• Perform other duties as needed
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Qualifications

• Experience in repair and maintenance of commercial mowers, power equipment, vehicles, trailers, trucks, and commercial snow removal equipment
• Knowledge of basic electrical systems, hydraulic systems, mower technology, and gasoline engines
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain company vehicles and equipment
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Compensation

Starting Pay: $20-25 per hour Based on Experience
