CNC-Bridgeport Mill Operator

Job description:

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the set-up, adjustment and operation of Lathe, Bridgeport, Grinder, Saws, and Boring mill and Drill press machines.

2. Works from blueprints, sketches, and process sheets along with verbal and written instructions for running the machine.

3. Ensures that workpieces are secured on machining table, holding device using appropriate methods.

4. Observes machine to verify quality performance. Sets and adjusts controls as needed.

5. Use of variety of precision measuring instruments to check work.

6. Responsible for cleaning up of area at the end of shift.

7. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Competencies:

-1. Accuracy

2. Able to read and work with Blueprints.

3. Can run machines (Bridgeport, Grinder, Saw, Lathe)

4. Knows how to Lube Bridgeport when required.

5. Able to operate machines without supervision.
