Radiology Technologist Job Details

• Location: Wyandotte, Michigan 48192
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (potential to extend)
• Facility Type: Level 3 Trauma Center
• Shifts: Prefer midnights (11:00pm – 7:30am) or afternoons (3:00pm – 11:00pm or 4:00pm – 12:00am); day shift may be available
• Hours per Week: 40 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2500–$2560
• CT Technology: GE and Toshiba/Canon equipment

Radiology Technologist Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist with CT specialization
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiography and CT
• Active BLS certification
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
• Experience in a fast-paced trauma or hospital environment
• Self-directed, flexible, and committed to continuous learning

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform CT and diagnostic radiology procedures for trauma and general patient populations
• Prepare and position patients for imaging; explain procedures and answer questions
• Review clinical data and obtain additional patient history as needed
• Set up and operate CT equipment; analyze anatomical structures for optimal imaging results
• Administer intravenous contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
• Assist radiologists with complex sterile diagnostic procedures
• Apply radiation protection principles (ALARA, shielding, etc.)
• Maintain accurate documentation in PACS/RIS and other medical information systems
• Demonstrate excellence in customer service, teamwork, and communication
• Maintain procedure rooms and ensure adequate supplies are available
