Prep Cook
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Culinary Utility team member to support day-to-day kitchen and operational functions at GG’s. This full-time role plays a key part in maintaining the efficiency, cleanliness, and organization of our kitchen and service spaces. The Culinary Utility position is integrated into the AM kitchen team and works under the direct supervision of the kitchen leadership.
Daily Support & Prep:
- Assist with bar prep items, including juicing, preparing ice, cutting garnishes, skewering, and other related tasks.
- Maintain zoning and organizational systems in the kitchen and bar storage areas.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
- Perform interior and exterior cleaning of the restaurant premises.
- Manage kitchen and bar cleaning projects, including deep cleaning assignments.
- Handle equipment detailing to maintain cleanliness and functionality.
- Conduct dusting and dining room detail work to ensure a polished guest environment.
- Perform cardboard breakdown and disposal according to location standards.
Seasonal & Outdoor Duties:
- Water flowers and maintain outdoor plant areas as needed.
- Conduct shoveling and salting during inclement weather across all locations.
- Inventory & Deliveries:
- Receive and assist with liquor, beer, and wine check-ins, ensuring proper handling and storage.
Special Projects:
- Support various special projects across multiple locations, as directed by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a kitchen or hospitality setting preferred, but not required.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active tasks.
- Willingness to work in various environments, including outdoor areas and all restaurant locations.
