Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and creative Teacher to join our team! In this role, you will nurture and educate preschoolers and infants, creating an engaging, safe, and stimulating environment where children can thrive. Our approach is inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies, focusing on individualized learning and fostering curiosity. While an ECE degree, GSRP certification, or Head Start experience is not required, you must meet Michigan's state minimum requirements to apply. These qualifications are mandatory for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver fun, educational activities that support child-led, play-based learning.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom with engaging provocations.
• Communicate regularly with parents about progress and milestones.
• Care for children (6 months-5 years) with attention to their safety and well-being.
• Be comfortable working and playing outside in good weather conditions , as outdoor exploration is a key component of our program.

Qualifications

• A love for arts, crafts, and hands-on activities.
• Experience in daycare or child welfare preferred.
• A strong understanding of early childhood development.
• Background check
• TB test
• First Aid and CPR certification
• Up-to-date hours on MiRegistry
• Health and safety training
• Child abuse and neglect training
• Mandated reporter training

Schedule

• Monday-Friday: Flexible hours, but the preferred schedule for full-time positions is 9am to 6pm.
• Our daycare is open from 6am to 6pm, and on rare occasions, you may need to stay past 6pm until all children are picked up.
