What you'll do
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a highly skilled IC6-level Data Center Architect to lead the design and evolution of Roma-based software driving modern data center operations. This critical role will architect, oversee, and optimize the development of key modules, including Repair API, Inventory Management, and other Remote Management Console (RMC) components essential for enterprise-scale reliability and performance.
Specific responsibilities include:

Architect end-to-end Roma and RMC software solutions supporting data center operation, reliability, and scalability.

Lead the design, integration, and evolution of mission-critical modules: Repair API, Inventory Management, and related components.

Ensure seamless, secure, and reliable data/API integration across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

Oversee strategies for data flow, monitoring, fault tolerance, fault handling, and performance scalability.

Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure robust and future-proof architectures.

Drive best practices for system design, reliability engineering, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
What you'll bring

15+ years of relevant engineering, architecture, or development experience.

Experience operating cloud services or large distributed applications in production.

Deep knowledge of distributed system design and scalable cloud-native application deployment.

Strong team player with outstanding communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable with complex, swiftly evolving software development environments.

Ability to learn new technologies quickly and drive, follow, evangelize, and improve cross-team processes.

Deep expertise in designing APIs, integration frameworks, and distributed systems at scale.

Strong proficiency in reliability engineering, monitoring, and performance tuning

Experience building cloud-native and hybrid (cloud/on-premise) integrated systems

Demonstrated leadership in architecting, mentoring, and guiding technical teams in mission-critical environments.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $136,600 to $338,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
