As Assistant Store Manager you are the right-hand to the Store Manager! You'll become well trained to cover all aspects of store operations, achieve key performance and financial objectives , as well as directional and performance planning . Be part of it!

Overall, we are looking for someone who takes pride in being a great merchant , a passionate leader , and committed to making sure every customer experience is better than the last!

Here are some ways you will make an impact:

• Assists with the management of all aspects of Store operations including customer service, store condition and the selection, training, supervising, and performance management of Store Sales Associates
• Assists in unloading all merchandise from delivery trucks, organizes merchandise, and transfers merchandise from stockroom to store
• Collaborates with team members to ensure the store meets or exceeds the established merchandising standards for product quality, presentation and visual marketing/merchandising
• Keep up with reporting to support sales, earnings, and minimizing shrink
• Assumes full management responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager

If this sounds like you, make sure you also meet these requirements:

• Two (2) or more years of grocery or retail management experience
  • Hands-on leadership experience in grocery retail (e.g. Produce, Deli/Bakery, or Meat/Seafood departments) is highly preferred but not required.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting above shoulder height
• Schedule Availability: Ability to work flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• You must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma / Equivalent
• Successfully pass our pre-employment checks , including a drug screen and criminal background check
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record per GFS policy
