Network Architect

TEKsystems has a client that is looking to bring on a very strong Network Architect to join their team. They want to find a candidate that has a wealth of experience with Network Design, Implementation, and experience in evaluating the overall network environment. The primary repsonsiblities for this role will be to own network capabilities, architecture, engineering, and operations. They are looking to find someone that is up for evaluating their current technical stack & products, make recommendations, and help build a roadmap to implementing changes where it makes sense. The organization as a whole is incredibly customer centric and has high standards, he'd like to ensure someone has that same mentality and can bring that to the table. This role will be very empowering to make decisions and provide ownership over the networking environment to modify and improve things as they see fit. Additionally - they will be tasked with working amongst the IT group as a whole as needed.

Additional:

- Currently they are refreshing firewalls with new Fortinet hardware and are currently deploying Fortinet switches too, however this is open to discussion for future deployments.

- Experience building and designing network architecture and implementing

- Building out project plans and technology implementation roadmaps

- Excellent customer service - working with the business and leadership to make changes, improve service, and drive efficiencies within the network environment

- Additional technology that is prominent in the overall technology operations space is: Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux server, as well as storage and back up solutions. Any experience in these areas would be considered an added bonus.

- Good leadership experience - while this isn't a management role, they would like to find someone that can work well with more junior & mid level IT team members and help maintain a good culture within the IT group.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Ann Arbor,MI.
