We are seeking a Quality Technician for a 1st shift position in the Jackson area. This is a temporary position expected to last a couple of months. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.

Quality Technician Details:

• Temporary position
• $20.00 to $23.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm )

• This is a temporary role expected to last a few months, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

• Inspect finished parts for specs: dimensions, geometry, hardness, surface finish, quantity.
• Check in-process parts (first/last article) to confirm machining accuracy.
• Select proper measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, CMM) for precision.
• Assist toolmakers with inspections during set-ups or jobs in progress.
• Perform calibration checks on company and employee measuring devices; maintain log.
• Update ERP system with labor time throughout day for accurate cost tracking.

Quality Technician Qualifications:

• Skilled in operating hand-held measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, depth mics, bore gages).
• Accurate measurement capability to within .0001”.
• Ability to program CMM using PC-DMIS or CMM Manager software.
• Proficient in calibrating and maintaining measuring devices.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• HS Diploma/GED Required.
