Part-time Tennis Professional at Peachtree Tennis Club in Macomb

Position Overview: Peachtree is looking for part-time tennis professionals. Applicants must be familiar with teaching adult groups from 2.5-3.5+ and willing to grow programs. Will be an employee responsible for helping with or teaching adult clinics as well as middle school to high school clinics when needed. Must be available weekdays (4 to 8 pm or 6 to 8 pm) and Saturday mornings. Summer schedule will change with focus on some morning and evening classes. We are looking for experienced tennis professionals. Applicants need to be available all year long, not just during certain times of the year. Will report to the Director of Tennis.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Assist & support clinics, ensuring smooth class instruction & fitness

· Can communicate well with players and parents and can demo and explain drills

• Teach private lessons
• Maintain & organize court
• Interact with students, parents, & coworkers in a professional and polite way.
• Attend all mandatory staff meetings & on-court trainings
• Communicate regularly about schedules & performance

• Reliable: prepping clinics 10-15 minutes early & cleaning up after clinics (picking up balls and equipment used in a timely manner.)

Requirements

• Professional Certification (all professionals need to be certified and have gone through some type of training. Compensation tied to years of teaching experience and is willing to keep up with training.)
• Physical Requirements (year-round indoor)
• CPR/AED –( certification is required or is willing to get within 2 months of being hired.)

USTA Safe Play- All professionals need to be safe play approved.
