LOCATION: This position is based in our East Paris office as the Medical Assistant travels daily to the office where the physician sees patients; local travel may be required to other locations within your assigned geographic region.
REPORTS TO: Practice Operations Manager
POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Medical Assistant to work alongside the physician and assist with patient care. This includes taking basic vital signs, preparing the room, verifying patient information, assisting with in-office procedures, and scheduling the patient’s next appointment. The Medical Assistant will also help manage the patient's schedule and assist with office duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interview patients to gather medical history and update medical records
- Gather basic vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, and pulse
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for exam
- Sterilize instruments and set up in-office procedure trays
- Manage medical supplies and materials and work with their operational leader to order necessary inventory
- Take x-rays
- Perform administrative tasks and become cross-trained on front desk responsibilities to provide support when needed.
- Other duties are to support the physician and team with patient care activities.
QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ CRITICAL SKILLS
- Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment
- Possess good communication and strong customer service skills

SCHEDULING A typical schedule for this Medical Assistant is Monday to Friday
TRAVEL: Local travel may be required to locations within your assigned geographic region. This role will be assigned to cover a geographic area; however, you may be required to occasionally travel outside of your assigned regional area to support the other regional coverage needs of the organization. The role must have reliable transportation and be able to travel from site to site, as assigned.

EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED required, higher or continuing education a plus.
- Medical Assistant certification with 2 years in a healthcare position preferred.
