Accounting Manager

Saginaw Valley Equine Clinic has an opportunity for an Accounting Manager at our growing practice in Saginaw, Michigan. We are a full service 100% equine veterinary practice. Services include Sports Medicine, Surgery, Reproduction, and Farm Services. Inside our state-of-the-art clinic, we use the latest technology and techniques to care for clients’ horses.
The Accounting Manager is responsible for performing the day-to-day financial transactions of the clinic. Job responsibilities include accounts payable and receivable, entry of source transactions and journal entries into the clinics accounting system, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation. This position will work closely with the Clinic Senior Leaders and external CPA.

Team Member Responsibilities

· Oversee/report SVEC’s financial data by maintaining accurate books
· Accounts payable and receivable, daily financial entries and reconciliations.
· Daily Payment and Month End Financial reporting
Qualifications and Requirements
· Customer service oriented
· Experience with Microsoft 365 and business software
· Proficient in the use of QuickBooks Cloud based
· Understanding of billing, collections and financial reporting
· Ability to multi-task and analyze information
· Minimum of 1-2 years professional accounting experience required
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Schedule
· 8-hour shift
· Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
