Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize welding processes to ensure product quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Develop and implement welding procedures, specifications, and quality control plans.
• Select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and techniques for various manufacturing needs.
• Troubleshoot welding-related issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in welding process development, optimization, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of various welding processes (e.g., GTAW, GMAW, SAW, FCAW, resistance welding) and their applications.
• Familiarity with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO) and their implementation.
• Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and interpretation of results.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, material properties, and their interaction with welding processes.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with robotic welding systems and programming
• - Familiarity with advanced NDT methods beyond basic visual inspection
• - Certification in welding inspection (e.g., CWI, CWE)
