Supply Planner/ Senior Coordinator

Pay Rate: $30.00 – $32.00 / hour

Contract Duration: 18 Months

Location: Portage, MI 49002

Randstad is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Coordinator/Supply Planner to support the creation and execution of our medical device manufacturing client's overall supply plan.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a production, supply, or demand planning role. (Note: High-potential entry-level supply chain graduates are also welcome and will be considered!)
• Technical Skills:
  • Proven experience with ERP systems—specifically SAP or JDE (or equivalent) is required.
  • Excellent, advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Experience with Power BI is a strong plus.
• Key Attributes: strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a passion for root-cause problem-solving.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will interface directly with production scheduling, procurement, and customer service to ensure an integrated approach to the supply chain.

• Plan for the Future: Support the creation of a Master Resource Plan (MRP) and capacity plans over a 24-month horizon to ensure raw materials and components meet upcoming demand.
• Optimize Inventory: Collaborate with the Supply Planning Manager to set accurate safety stock levels by analyzing demand volatility and supply chain lead times.
• Track Execution: Monitor the active supply plan alongside production scheduling and buying teams. You will track performance deviations, help mitigate backorders, and proactively communicate future supply risks.
• Lifecycle Management: Oversee the smooth phase-in of new products and the strategic exit of old products within the plant or third-party networks.
• Data & Root Cause Analysis: Maintain core master data in our supply planning systems and dig into performance issues to provide data-driven mitigation recommendations.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Support daily, weekly, and monthly communication cycles to ensure our supply capability matches our business demand.
