In addition to competitive pay, we also offer: + Health benefits available Day 1 + 401k available Day 1 + 10+ paid holidays/year + Free HAZWOPER training and certification + Overtime opportunities + Ability to be cross-trained into different roles **2nd Shift** **$1,500 Sign on Bonus** The Environmental Technician III is a key position in supervising that the details of everyday production are executed through effective communications within the team and outside teams, departments, etc. This position is a hands-on working lead at Clean Earth Detroit TSDF. **Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):** + Supervise segregation and packaging material for process along with the completion of required paperwork in a legible, accurate, and timely manner in accordance with appropriate regulations and Clean Earth policies, practices, and procedures + Separate and pack hazardous material for transport + Complete required paperwork in accordance with our practices and procedures + Collecting samples of inbound waste for laboratory analysis Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by management + Ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator + Must be 18 years of age or older + 2+ years of prior experience working with hazardous materials + Have the ability to read, write and speak in English + Ability to operate equipment, including a forklift and pallet jack **Preferred Qualifications:** + 2+ years of experience sampling and receiving hazardous waste + Has the ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift and possesses safe driving record. + Proficiency with Windows based programs (i.e. Excel and Word + Demonstrates knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations + Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA Regulations + Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology or related field Clean Earth offers competitive benefits including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans starting on the first day of employment; paid time off, wellness benefits, employee discount program, tuition assistance, and a 401k with company matching.
