Construction Superintendent

Job Description

Insight Global is searching for a Construction Superintendent for one of its clients in the greater Detroit, Mi area. This role will be responsible for the following. Accomplishes construction human resource objectives by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees on project site; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions for field carpenters and laborers; adhering to policies and procedures. They will manage sub-contractors by assisting in locating, evaluating, and selecting sub-contractors; monitoring and controlling performance. Meet operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Skills and Requirements

-Must have a minimum of 5 years construction superintendent experience working for a general contractor

-Experience in new build / ground-up construction is preferred

-Experience with ProCore is preferred

-Must be willing to travel

-Shown ability to indirectly manage crew members and project timelines
