Clinical Trials Coordinator
Clinical Research Coordinator (Dermatology) – Full-Time.
MI Skin Center | Northville, MI *This is NOT a virtual role.
(Part-time candidates may be considered if able to transition to full-time by May 2026).
MI Skin Center is a growing, full-service medical dermatology practice with an expanding in-house clinical trials unit in Northville, Michigan. Our research portfolio includes studies in psoriasis, cosmetic dermatology, photodynamic therapy, and autoinflammatory conditions, with additional therapeutic areas planned as we continue to grow.
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-driven Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to play a lead role in the continued development and day-to-day execution of our clinical trials program. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced coordinator looking to take ownership, as well as for a strong early-career candidate with clear interest in clinical research and room to grow into a senior role.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead protocol startup, initiation, maintenance, and closeout activities.
- Manage source documentation and ensure accurate, compliant record-keeping.
- Perform data entry, query resolution, and quality control (QC) across trials.
- Conduct phone pre-screenings and in-person subject visits.
- Collect and document vital signs, blood draws, EKGs, and other study procedures.
- Build and maintain e-Source and regulatory documentation.
- Educate study subjects and families on protocols, investigational products, and expectations.
- Serve as a primary liaison with sponsors, monitors, and internal providers.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, GCP, and sponsor requirements.
- Contribute to process improvements as the research unit expands into new therapeutic areas.
Who We’re Looking For: We’re looking for someone who brings ownership, professionalism, and a strong attention to detail, along with a collaborative mindset and a desire to grow with a developing research program.
Required/Strongly Preferred:
- 1+ year of clinical or clinical research experience.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Positive, professional attitude with a strong work ethic.
Preferred (but not required):
- Prior experience in a clinical trials unit.
- Dermatology research experience.
- Knowledge of systemic biologic medications and prior authorization workflows.
- Phlebotomy skills.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- National certification (ACRP, CRA, or equivalent).
- BLS certification.
Education (Preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field with 1–2 years of relevant clinical or research experience;
- Master’s degree in a medical or health-related field (research experience not required).
