Salary Range: $86,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded firmware for manufacturing automation and control systems.
• Integrate embedded hardware and software components into production machinery and test equipment.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex embedded systems issues on the factory floor.
• Develop and implement communication protocols for industrial control and data acquisition.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and production teams to define system requirements and specifications.
• Optimize embedded system performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness for mass production environments.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for embedded system designs, code, and test procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong C/C++ programming skills for embedded systems development.
• Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex-M) and their peripherals.
• Proficiency in debugging embedded hardware and software using tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG/SWD debuggers.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, Ethernet/IP).
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) for deterministic system design.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM) / testability (DFT).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
• Familiarity with production test fixture development and automation scripting (e.g., Python).
• Exposure to manufacturing execution systems (MES) or supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA).
• Knowledge of quality methodologies like root cause analysis (RCA) or 8D problem-solving.
