Job Description
Join our team as a Maintenance Technician, where you will utilize your mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to maintain and repair a variety of industrial equipment. You will work with gears, pulleys, bearings, motors, conveyors, and more, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting on gears, conveyor systems, motors, and belts.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting, including working with electrical prints, VFDs, and PLCs.
- Execute welding and fabrication tasks as needed.
- Work with shredding machines and other industrial equipment.
- Ensure preventive maintenance and handle maintenance-related projects.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, particularly with gears, conveyors, and motors.
- Experience in electrical troubleshooting, including VFDs and PLCs.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Ability to work with 480 Volt systems and perform PLC troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with shredding machines is a plus.

Work Environment
Work in a large, warehouse-type setting that is not temperature-controlled. Be prepared for a dusty and dirty atmosphere, dealing with shredded paper and pellets. The 2nd shift runs from 3 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday to Thursday, with flexible start and end times within an hour. Friday is dedicated to preventive maintenance and projects, requiring 5-6 hours of work.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Byron Center, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
