Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 educational opportunity is available in Mount Pleasant, MI, for skilled Special Education Teachers specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Emotional Impairment (EI). These full-time, contract positions start August 14, 2025, with a weekly schedule of 37.25 hours. Early interviews are underway to fill four openings within this school year contract.

Openings include:

• High School ASD Teacher (must hold Autism Spectrum Endorsement)
• Elementary EI Teacher (must hold Emotional Impairment Endorsement)
• Secondary EI Teacher (serving both middle and high school, must hold Emotional Impairment Endorsement)
• Elementary ASD Teacher (must hold Autism Spectrum Endorsement)

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Michigan teaching license with appropriate endorsement(s) in Autism Spectrum or Emotional Impairment
• Previous teaching experience in special education preferred
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
• mitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment for students with special needs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instructional programs for K-12 students with ASD or EI
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals aligned with state and federal guidelines
• Track and document student progress with regular assessments and reporting
• Collaborate with school staff, therapists, and families to support students academic and social-emotional development
• Maintain classroom management that supports positive behavior and engagement
