Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based Social Worker position is available to provide essential support services within an elementary school setting in Wyoming, MI. This opportunity is a contracted role covering a maternity leave for the upcoming school year.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering targeted social work services to students to support their social, emotional, and behavioral development
• Collaborating closely with educators, families, and school personnel to develop and implement intervention plans
• Assessing student needs and connecting families with community resources and support services
• Maintaining accurate documentation and complying with district guidelines and confidentiality standards
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and contributing to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) when applicable

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Current licensure or certification as a social worker as required by state regulations
• Experience working in an educational environment, preferably with elementary-aged children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff
• Knowledge of community resources and ability to manage crisis situations with sensitivity
